Michael Tunnecliffe  

Clinical Psychologist

Michael is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the profession for more than 30 years. He has held senior positions of Executive Manager and Director in and government and non-government agencies.

Michael’s clinical focus is the philosophy of habit and how individuals repeat unhelpful patterns despite the negative consequences. This approach fits nicely in to his work in the Matrix Program.  

Michael has been trained in the USA to Supervisor level in the Matrix Model, for intensive outpatient addiction treatment and he is a Director of the Matrix Program in Perth.

In addition to the Matrix Program, Michael ‘s professional focus is psychological  assessments, psychologist supervision and presentation of training courses in-person and via webinars. He has been an invited presenter at numerous conferences across Australia and overseas on topics related to the treatment of trauma and mental health.

Michael was the Clinical Director of an Employee Assistance provider organisation and was an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in Trauma Counselling at the University of Notre Dame Australia for 10 years.
