Melissa Burns - Psychologist

Melissa has a strong background working with adults and couples to manage relationship issues, mental health disorders and general concerns affecting emotional and mental health and wellbeing. Included within Melissa's skill set is working with sleep disruption, interpersonal conflict and workplace stress.

Melissa’s approach to therapy comes from a self-compassion and resilience framework.  Her treatment approaches utilise the evidence-based cognitive behavioural model to work towards the individual’s needs and goals, and includes Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, Eye movement desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and Schema Therapy.

Melissa is also a facilitator in the Matrix Program® an intensive non-residential treatment for addiction.
